Interesting Note

Love Song is admired for its striking lavender-purple colouring and beautifully full, romantic blooms. Each flower is packed with approximately 50–65 petals, opening from a tightly formed centre into a large, softly ruffled bloom.

One of Love Song’s most attractive qualities is its ability to retain its distinctive lavender-to-lilac colouring as the flowers mature. Depending on temperature and growing conditions, the blooms can range from softer lilac-mauve to richer purple-lavender, often with deeper tones towards the centre.

Love Song was bred by renowned American rose breeder Tom Carruth, who is particularly celebrated for developing roses with unusual lavender, mauve and purple colouring.

Love Song can be grown in Singapore’s warm tropical climate, although bloom size, colour and form may vary with temperature and growing conditions. Provide plenty of sunlight, good airflow and well-draining soil.

During hotter periods, flowers may open more quickly and develop softer lavender tones, while relatively cooler conditions may encourage larger, fuller blooms with richer lavender-purple colouring.
