Interesting Note

Miyabi (雅) takes its name from the Japanese concept of elegance, refinement and graceful beauty. One of its most distinctive features is the way the bloom transforms as it matures. The densely layered flower gradually opens into a large, elaborate rosette with a beautifully ruffled centre.

Its colouring is equally striking — warm coral-apricot and peach tones dominate the centre, while the outer petals develop contrasting rose-pink to mauve-pink shades. The combination can change noticeably with bloom maturity and growing conditions, giving each flower a slightly different character.

🇸🇬 Singapore Note

Miyabi shows very good potential for Singapore’s warm tropical climate, with good reported performance during hot summer conditions and a repeat-flowering habit. Provide plenty of sunlight, good airflow and well-draining soil.

Under Singapore’s heat, bloom colour and form may vary between flowering cycles. The balance of coral, peach and pink tones may shift, and flowers may open more quickly or develop a looser rosette as they mature.
